DVR images on a mobile phone
Images from the AlienDVR can also be viewed using a mobile phone. By simply loading a piece of software on to the phone via a USB connection or PC docking station a mobile phone can have access to live camera images and control over PTZ cameras.
Once installed, the mobile phone software just needs the details that apply to the network connection for the AlienDVR entering e.g. IP Address, Port Number, Username and Password.
Each camera channel can be accessed individually over the mobile network, displaying at approximately 2 FPS.
In addition, by using the curser keys on the mobile phone the operator can control the movement of PTZ cameras connected to the AlienDVR.
It should be noted that the mobile phone used needs to be internet enabled. Please see our list of known compatible phones.
