The Alien DVR Range

The Alien DVR range, available from 2008 was discontinued in 2018/19. Many of the original units live on to this day, and hopefully will continue to do so for many years to come

We continue to maintain the IPPOSTCODE server for Alien DVR owners thus providing remote/Internet access for domestic and small business users alike via DDNS.

One of the early DSD105 units sold in March 2010 is still in daily use today, let us know if you can beat that! Send a photo of your unit showing its serial number and we'll check when we sold it, winner, or winners get a free copy of the Alien Desktop Widget for Windows (see terms below*).

Looking for a replacement for your Alien DVR? Please consider the Zip SUPA 5MP DVR, this is a plug-in replacement for all Alien DVRs.

Customers looking for something more powerful than a direct replacement should consider the Xtreme/ULTRA DVR range, this supports up to 8MP 4K cameras, more IP channels and greater disc capacity for longer recording times.

Please Note:

Zip NVRs, DVR and IP cameras do not use Alien branded software or apps, they come with their own Zip branded software for Windows, Android and iOS.
